At TRU Simulation + Training (TRU), we care about the protection of your personal data. Because we care, we have adopted the practices described in this Privacy Policy for Suppliers and Potential Suppliers. You should not access TRU's supplier page (this “Site”) or submit any information for the purpose of new supplier evaluation/registration until you have carefully read this Privacy Policy for Suppliers and Potential Suppliers and agree to the terms and conditions described in it.

PRIVACY POLICY FOR SUPPLIERS AND POTENTIAL SUPPLIERS

TRU and its subsidiaries and business units respect the privacy of our business partners and are committed to complying with applicable privacy laws in every country in which we operate. This Privacy Policy for Suppliers and Potential Suppliers is intended to inform you about how personally identifiable information you submit to our company (“Personally Identifiable Information”) throughout the TRU supplier evaluation and registration process will be handled and protected by TRU. This policy supplements the general Privacy Policy posted on TRU's website atwww.trusimulation.com.

Our Collection and Use of Personally Identifiable Information

Personal Data We Collect

TRU's supplier registration process is designed to collect information about your company's qualifications as a potential TRU supplier. When you choose to participate in the TRU supplier registration process, you will be asked to provide TRU with information about your company and its capabilities together with certain Personally Identifiable Information.
Personally Identifiable Information includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • First and Last Name;
  • Contact Information for key personnel, such as phone numbers or mailing addresses;
  • Email addresses; and
  • Other relevant information disclosed during the supplier registration process.

TRU collects and stores the Personally Identifiable Information that you provide (including but not limited to, information submitted during the supplier registration process) on third party servers located in the United States.

Retention and Deletion of Your Personally Identifiable Information: TRU retains your Personally Identifiable Information only as long as is necessary for supplier evaluation purposes and/or during the supplier relationship if established following the evaluation process.

  • For Potential Suppliers Located Within the United States: In the event that a business relationship with TRU is not established, we may retain your Personally Identifiable Information for a period of time (generally 12 months) if not otherwise notified by you. 
  • For Potential Suppliers Located Outside the United States: Your company profile, including Personally Identifiable Information, will be retained only as long as necessary to complete the supplier evaluation process (generally 6 months) unless a business relationship is established following the evaluation process and you are identified as a point of contact for the ongoing relationship. 

How We Use The Personal Data We Collect
The Personally Identifiable Information that you provide will be used to assist us in matching your company's capabilities to TRU supplier requirements. This Personally Identifiable Information will also be used to contact and identify you throughout the supplier evaluation process. For example, TRU may contact your company, using the contact information you have provided, for purposes of completing your Supplier Profile. In addition, you may be contacted about other procurement-related issues.

Disclosures of Your Personally Identifiable Information
We are not in the business of selling your Personally Identifiable Information to others.
Access to your Personally Identifiable Information will be restricted to TRU staff and designated third party agents who have a need to know the specific information in question in order to carry out their responsibilities with regard to TRU's procurement process. Your information may also be disclosed to governmental entities pursuant to and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, or a subpoena or court order.
We do not reveal Personally Identifiable Information about you to unaffiliated third parties, unless:

  1. you request or authorize it; 
  2. the information is provided to help complete a transaction for you; 
  3. the information is provided to comply with the law, applicable regulations, court orders or subpoenas, to enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements, or to protect our rights, property or safety or the rights, property or safety of our users or others (e.g., to a consumer reporting agency for fraud protection etc.); or 
  4. the disclosure is done as part of a purchase, transfer or sale of services or assets (e.g., in the event that substantially all of the assets of an applicable TRU business are acquired by another party).

We may also gather aggregated data about you and disclose such aggregated (but not personally identifiable) information to third parties for analysis or other purposes.

Your Rights to the Information We Collect

If you wish to confirm that TRU is processing your personal data, or to have access to the personal data that TRU may have about you, please contact us at Privacy@trusimulation.com.

You may also request information about: the purpose of the processing; the categories of personal data concerned; what the source of the information was (if you didn't provide it directly to TRU); and how long it will be stored. You have a right to correct (rectify) the record of your personal data maintained by TRU if it is inaccurate. You may request that TRU erase that data or cease processing it, subject to certain exceptions. You may also request that TRU cease using your data for direct marketing purposes. When technically feasible, TRU will—at your request—provide your personal data to you or transmit it directly to another controller.

Reasonable access to your personal data will be provided at no cost upon request made to TRU at Privacy@trusimulation.com. If access cannot be provided within a reasonable time frame, TRU will provide you with a date when the information will be provided. If for some reason access is denied, TRU will provide an explanation as to why access has been denied.

Access to Your Personally Identifiable Information: Once you have established a Profile, you will have the ability to correct or update the information, at any time by contacting your TRU buyer.

Safeguards 
TRU uses reasonable administrative, technical, personnel, and physical measures to safeguard your Personally Identifiable Information against loss, theft, and unauthorized use or modification. We update and test our security technology on an ongoing basis. 
TRU has obtained assurances from its third party agents that they have similar practices in place.

Child Privacy
Because of the nature of our business, our products and services are not designed to appeal to minors, and therefore we do not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive any information from children. Our terms and conditions of use require that any registration may only be made by those age 18 or older and that any product or service purchases may only be made by those age 18 or older. If we have reason to believe that information is being provided by a child under the age of 18, TRU will not collect the information without parental consent or parent notification, which will include the opportunity for the parent to prevent the use of the information or to prevent the child's participation in the activity. Without parental consent, online information will only be used to respond to an unsolicited request and for no other purposes. We recognize that protecting children's identities and privacy online is important and that the responsibility to do so rests with both the online industry and with parents.

No Contract
This Privacy Statement does not constitute a contract between TRU and any supplier or potential supplier.

Changes to This Policy
As our business changes, this Privacy Policy for Suppliers and Potential Suppliers is expected to change from time to time, and we reserve the right to change it at any time. The use of your information is subject to the Privacy Policy for Suppliers and Potential Suppliers in effect at the time of use. The provisions contained herein supersede all previous notices or statements regarding our privacy practices with respect to this Site. We may email periodic reminders of our notices and terms and conditions and post any changes to the Privacy Policy for Suppliers and Potential Suppliers to our Site. We encourage you to check our Site frequently to see the current Privacy Policy and Terms of Use in effect and any changes that may have been made to them.
